My Experience: Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence vs SK-II Treatment Essence

MISSHA Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence

For a long time, bloggers have raved about the Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence as a dupe to the SK-II Treatment Essence, so the BeautySesh team put it to the test to try it out and see if it’s worth all the hype.

After cleansing the skin and toning with the Missha Time Revolution Vitality Toner, the Essence was applied on cotton pads and gently patted and wiped following skin texture and around the entire face. Consistently for three months we used the essence like this to see the results. On normal, combination skin, the essence was mild, and no breakouts occurred.

After about the first week, the face did seem brighter and clearer than before. By the third week dullness went away and the skin was more absorbent, there was a difference in skin texture, smoothness, and vibrancy.

What the key difference between SK-II’s essence and Missha’s is the fermented yeast ingredient used. SK-II’s essence is based off its patented Pitera, a “strictly controlled natural fermentation process.” It’s essentially one that creates a clear liquid that’s rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and organic acids.

On the other hand, Missha’s FTE is made of 80% saccharomyces ferment filtrate, the brand’s own use of yeast and niacinimade. The latter is a vitamin B3 that is very effective in restoring the skin, improving enlarged pores, helping uneven skin tone, reducing acne, and more, it is a product that more and more beauty brands are using.

Missha has a lot of more hydrating ingredients that will repair your skin compared to SK-II’s formula and for over three times the price. Though both products are highly rated, for the price and experience alone, the Time Revolution First Treatment Essence definitely gets the BeautySesh stamp of approval!
